Macro lenses

Submitted by robplato on Mon, 2009-05-25 18:40.

I recently bought some new gear including macro and fish-eye lenses and it was a beautiful spring day yesterday. After getting tired of testing it out on bottlecaps and objects around the house over the past few days I headed over to my friend Brians backyard for some inspiration around his garden. I found you can get some good macro range out of the fisheye, and the old manual focus macros still take nice sharp images. You get even closer I guess because of the cropping on my camera. After that I went over to the Old Dairy barn on Cokato and took a symetrical shot of two of the old windows also with a lens from 1965.
