Welcome to Rob Plato Photography. Rob Plato is a professional photographer based out of Fernie, British Columbia, Canada. He has been an avid outdoor and travel photographer for over a decade. In 2005 he attended a full time professional photography diploma program at "Focal Point" in Vancouver. After completing the program he now runs a photography program at "Baldface Cat Skiing" in Nelson, B.C. Canada in the winter months. He's busy shooting weddings, commercial, and outdoor/travel images the rest of the year. Rob's work has been published in various newspapers and magazines and he's done assignment work like shooting the "Whistler Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival" and catalogues for companies like "Jack Wolfskin" clothing. He is always shooting to build a stock base of images available for all uses and can be available on an assignment basis for commercial, editorial, event or of course outdoor assignments.

Well all who know, it's that time of year again. Time to get out of town and away from all the predictability of life and into a different enviorment for a week. Salmo is once again hosting what has to be one of the largest music festivals in north america. Concisting primarily of D.J and modern music, the 10th anniversary promises to be (as always) even more exicting than last year. So I'll be out of range for a week or so but look for a new album of images from this years event soon.

Thanks to all who came out for the gallery opening. I won't need to eat any cheese for a while! I will be making the gallery open by appointment ( it's very hard for me to keep regular buisiness hour right now ) but feel free to stop in if you see the door open. Please contact me at 423-3754 if interested. I will also be at the Mountain Market on Sundays and plan to have a table at the Taste of Fernie.

Hey Everyone, You are all welcome to come down to the grand opening of my Studio/Gallery location on Saturday July 21st. It is located at 692 6th ave accross from Rotary Park on the corner of 6th ave and 7th street. Renovations,printing and framing are almost done and after years of thinking about it I'm finally DOING it. So come on down and have some wine and cheese anytime after noon on the 21st.
