Welcome to Rob Plato Photography. Rob Plato is a professional photographer based out of Fernie, British Columbia, Canada. He has been an avid outdoor and travel photographer for over a decade. In 2005 he attended a full time professional photography diploma program at "Focal Point" in Vancouver. After completing the program he now runs a photography program at "Baldface Cat Skiing" in Nelson, B.C. Canada in the winter months. He's busy shooting weddings, commercial, and outdoor/travel images the rest of the year. Rob's work has been published in various newspapers and magazines and he's done assignment work like shooting the "Whistler Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival" and catalogues for companies like "Jack Wolfskin" clothing. He is always shooting to build a stock base of images available for all uses and can be available on an assignment basis for commercial, editorial, event or of course outdoor assignments.

Well another winter is over. What a winter it was ! Some of the best skiing in a long time in particular early season. Telus fest in Whister was busy as ever (T.W.S.S.F. 2007) though the weather could have been better. I'm looking forward to some spring shooting and opening the doors to my studio/gallery this spring in Fernie. Hopefully it warms up soon ! See you around town and enjoy the new photo gallery T.W.S.S.F.
Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival 2007 !!!

A big name for a big event ! This years festival seems bigger and better than ever with performances from artists like Sam Roberts, Stephen Marley and all kinds of other art and entertainment. It's hard to believe we are only 4 day into the ten ! Look for the new catagory T.W.S.S.F. 2007 in the photos section of this website for images from this years event. I'll be updating them every few day to keep you in the action.

Hi all, made it back to Fernie. Getting ready for "hot dog day". Check out the attachment from last years event on the Thanks Fernie blog. It's been raining here for a week aparently. Spring. Will be heading to Whistler to shoot the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival in April (www.whistler2007.com). Should be some good times as usual. See all you Vancouver folks soon. For now it's rest and relaxation and a little shredding the hill on newly aquired pro model rockets.
